Description: The brown spruce longhorn beetle, Tetropium fuscum (Fabr.) (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), native to Europe, was recently discovered infesting and killing red spruce, Picea rubens Sarg. in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
