Description: The forest inventory and analysis unit of the southern forest experiment station (Forest Survey) conducts periodic inventories about every 10 years covering forest resource inventories of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, East Oklahoma, Tennessee, and East Texas. Appendix tables present summaries of timberland area, growing-stock volume, ownership class, forest class, site class, and stocking level (refer to the Definition of Terms for clarification).
