Description: Between 1959 and 1967 a study of d.b.h. growth rates was made on individual hardwood trees near Parsons, W. Va. From this study, we obtained information that will help foresters to predict growth. We learned that the correlation of the more easily used crown classification with d.b.h. growth is as good as or better than the correlation of vigor classes with d.b.h. growth.
