Description: A forest survey conducted in 1980 found 130 thousand hectares of potential commercial timberland and 148 thousand hectares of other forest land. Most of the forest area has regrown on abandoned pasture and cropland including coffee production areas. The timberland areas are composed of numerous species and forest conditions.
