Description: The third inventory of Indiana's timber resource shows that timberland area in Indiana climbed from 3.9 to 4.3 million acres between 1967 and 1986, an increase of more than 10%. During the same period growing-stock volume increased 43%. Highlights and statistics are presented on area, volume, growth, mortality, and removals.
