Description: Tables are provided for estimating tree crown weights based on species and diameters (d.b.h.) for 10 conifer and 9 hardwood species or species groups of the North Central and Northeastern United States. Procedures are given for predicting slash weights resulting from: cutting timber, trampling during logging activities, and defect and breakage left on the site after cutting.
