Description: Reports on insect suppression in 16 Eastern Region national forests over a 50-year period. Identifies 27 target insects attacked, insecticides used, acreages treated, and results obtained by suppression attempts. Notes that only 3.4% of Eastern national forest land has been chemically treated during the years studied.
