Title: Allometric biomass estimators for aspen-dominated ecosystems in the upper Great Lakes.

Description: Presents allometric estimators relating aboveground and belowground component weights to diameter measurements of more than 2,500 trees and shrubs encompassing 35 woody species samples from 8 soil series. The estimators were only weakly related to soil character but were strongly influenced by population density variation induced by silvicultural treatment.
