Title: Mensurational and Biomass Relations for Populus ''Tristis #1'' Under Intensive Culture
Author: Ek, Alan R.;
Source: Research Note NC-260. St. Paul, MN: U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Forest Service, North Central Forest Experiment Station
Publication Series: Research Note (RN)
Description: Tree measurement data from plantations established in 1970 and 1973 and grown under intensive culture were used to establish various dimensional relations and biomass equations for Populus ''Tristis #1''. These equations subsequently have been used to estimate yields on study plots and for projections of future yields. They are presented here for others working with this hybrid and as a guide to model forms which might be utilized for other species.
Keywords: tree measurement, plantations, hybrids, yield analysis
