Description: The mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum L.), long used in folk medicine, was studied to seek more information about its characteristics and potentialities. The plant and its distribution, site soils, and botany are described. Efforts to germinate seed were unsuccessful. Some notes on chemical properties and biological action.
