Description: Distributional and statistical information associated with stand age, site index, basal area per acre, number of stems per acre, and stand density index is reported for major pine cover types of the Southeastern United States. Means, standard deviations, and ranges of these variables are listed by State and physiographic region for loblolly, slash, longleaf, pond, shortleaf, and Virginia pine cover types. Graphic illustrations of multidimensional relationships among some of the variables are also provided.
