Description: A complete review of all the national monitoring programs that could possibly contribute to the Delaware River Basin (DRB) CEMRI Framework is beyond the scope of this report. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Mid-Atlantic Integrated Assessment developed a Web-based annotated inventory of such monitoring programs for the mid-Atlantic region. Olsen et al. (1999) also provide a detailed assessment of the major national environmental surveys and how they might be integrated. Presented below is a brief description of the major monitoring programs that were used to initiate the Delaware CEMRI and that served as foundation programs for the core of the framework in the DRB.
