Title: Fire Suppression, District 5

Author: Headley, Roy;

Date: 1916

Source: USDA-Forest Service. 57 p.

Publication Series: Scientific Journal (JRNL)

Description: The increasing effectiveness of suppression practice is shown by the fact that in 1915 fire suppression cost one-third as much as in 1914, and damage to Government property was kept down to one-fourth the 1914 figure. The seasons were approximately equal in danger. Is further progress to be expected?
