Description: The Otsego Forest Products Cooperative Association is one of the most successful of the farmers' cooperatives that have attempted to deal with forest products. Now including about 1,000 members, it serves owners of woodlands in the rolling dairy country in and about Otsego County in central New York. The operations of the Otsego cooperative are centered at Cooperstown, which is located at the south end of Otsego Lake, the main source of the Susquehanna River. It is about 60 miles west of Albany.
