Title: An econometric study of private land management in Georgia

Keywords: An econometric model is developed for private timberland management to be used in the projection of forest resource supplies. A restricted profit function is used to develop output supply and input derived demand equations for nonindustrial and industrial owners. The estimation indicated limited price response and significant inventory response. Continuing research will examine alternative ownership o~jectives and policy effects on private land management.
