Description: A Rome TXH Tree Extractor was used to explore the harvesting of four species of southern hardwoods by extraction. The test indicate that harvesting by extraction is feasible for harvestang, if tree size is limited to 9 inches DBH or less. Stump and below ground biomass averaged 18 percent of total tree biomass.
