Description: Logging costs were developed in a study of residue removal to specified levels in each of three size classes: 1/4 to 3, 3.1 to 9, and over 9 inches in diameter. These levels were determined by an interdisciplinary team during initial sale planning and represented levels that would be desired to attain without slash burning. Cable yarding was specified. This trial was conducted on the Wind River Experimental Forest near Carson, Washington.
